Why become a friend?
Burns
National Heritage Park cares for some of Scotland's most important
cultural treasures. We maintain Burns Cottage, the birthplace
of Scotland's National Poet, the historic Burns Monument and Gardens,
Auld Kirk Alloway, the Brig O'Doon and the world's most important
collection of Burns Manuscripts, along with other works of art
and related Burnsiana. We need your help to preserve this priceless
heritage and to promote the enjoyment and understanding of Robert
Burns to future generations.
Burns
National Heritage Park is completely self-funding. That means
that, unlike the majority of local museums, it relies entirely
on the money it raises itself to operate and grow. Money raised
by the Friends is dedicated to projects to preserve the cultural
treasures we hold and to make them more accessible to visitors.
This can be through exhibitions, research and educational resources,
special events or the development of new facilities.
